Hi and thank you for looking at our listing. We are offering the lowest price with the best amenities at Pena Mar Ocean Club. The unit just has been updated with new upscale furnishings which are now at your disposal.
Pena Mar Ocean Club is a privileged boutique condo development located on the east coast of Puerto Rico on road 987 across from Villa Marina. A town of Fajardo is just 30 miles and 45 minute drive from the San Juan International Airport. This area is considered to be a largest port in Virgin Islands which sailors use as a jumping point to the rest of the Virgin Islands.
The apartment consists of 3 Bdrm, 2 bthrm which are fully furnished with updated, modern, quality furnishings, bed and bath linens and kitchen utensils. York Brand Air Conditioners in all bedrooms. 42” Flat Screen TV connected to HD Cable box, WIFI, DVD/VCR and a CD player. You can enjoy all the comforts of our home with leather couches and recliners, terrace furniture, Queen Size bed(Master), Two twin beds can be combined to form another Queen bed in a second bedroom (see photos) and 2 bunk beds can sleep 4 kids. The unit enjoys 1500 square feet of living space. Our unit is by far the nicest furnished unit in the development and can accommodate up to 8 people max.
Pena Mar Ocean Club is a fully secured community and a unit is the closest to the guard station that is occupied 24 hours a day. The unit is located at the second floor which is perfect for tenants with handicap as you would not need to take an elevator or stairs. 2 parking spots for you and your guests. GE appliances. You will love the huge fridge with automatic ice maker and filtered water, washer dryer.
Pena Mar Ocean Club features its own emergency power generator and water cisterns which are useful in case of power/ water outage. We haven’t had a chance to experience a power or water outage because of this useful feature. The Condo development enjoys 3 Pools (One shaped like a boat, an Infinity Edge Pool with a Jacuzzi and one with a built in slide which the kids love. For those of you who like to exercise, a full gym and basketball courts, tennis court are available. The unit enjoys Granite counters, Bidet, Huge Balcony across from Villa Marina and partial Ocean View. Pena mar is the most desired location in Fajardo because of its boutique Resort Style design.
Apartment is located 10-15 minutes drive to Luquillo Beach, 20 minutes drive to El Yunque, the only tropical rain forest protected by the U.S. National Forest Service, 5 minutes to 'El Conquistador Hotel (Great Golf and restaurants). 5 minutes from 7 Seas Beach. We are located across the street from Villa Marina, where a wide range of sailboat and catamaran charters are available to take you on daily trips to the cays for snorkeling. Puerto Del Ray marina (a largest marina in Virgin Islands) which is 15 minute drive from a condo offers additional day sails (Erin Go Bragh Charters is highly recommended because of small size group -6 people only) to neighboring island as well as Culebra. For a picture perfect beach a day trip to Culebra is a must. A ferry, which is 5 minute drive from a condo, will take you to Culebra (one hour and a half ferry trip) where cab drivers for a relatively small fee of $3 per person will take you to a one of the consistently top rated beach in the world called Flamenco beach. If you like camping, you can camp at the Flamenco beach camp site. For the best snorkeling on Culebra walk to the other side of the parking lot where cabs dropped you off, cross the fence and within 15 minute walk you will be at Carlos Rosario Beach. Beside world class snorkeling this beach will let you enjoy the best of what Culebra can offer in a private setting.
Don’t want to ride a ferry the 316-acre Las Cabezas de San Juan nature preserve features a lighthouse that has been in continuous operation since 1882. Reservations are required.
While visiting Puerto Rico you can visit: Cavernas De Camuy (Caves located at Camuy) as well as Arecibo Observatory where they filmed James Bond Golden Eye, Luquillo (a beach with many local food options right at the beach where we highly recommend La Parilla and Ceviche Hut as well as Fruitty World (a colorful smoothie stand) – smoothies will knock your socks off in terms of presentation and taste), Fajardo (day sailing to the cays of Icacos, Palominos and Palominitos).
If you are in the market for a vejigante mask at discount price a trip to Ponce is a must. All the papier-mâché vejigante masks you see at Old San Juan shops are made by local artisans at Ponce where you can grab one for half the price of what the retailers sell it for. While hunting for masks a newly renovated Museo de Arte de Ponce is a must see which features a largest Art museum in the Caribbean. Car rental is recommended to help explore various areas of interest as well as shopping.
Fajardo is well known for its excellent day sailing, snorkeling and diving. The day-sailing trips normally take you to one of the nearby cays for a day of snorkeling, sun bathing and feasting (food and drinks are included in a fair). For the divers, there is excellent clear water all around the cays, with plenty to explore. For a nocturnal trip in the Bio luminescent Lagoon is a must (make sure you go on a day with no moon). Of course, the seafood in this area is fresh and delicious. La Mina falls at El Yunque rainforest offers a romantic waterfall swimming after a hike in the most pristine rainforest anywhere in the Caribbean.
